🎉✨ Today, I’m celebrating my 47th birthday! 🎂🌟

As I reflect on the past year,
I am thankful for the fantastic experiences, growth, and all the incredible people and patients who have been part of my journey.

Not to mention my beloved husband and daughter, who has always been there for me ❤️

On a sad note, this is my first birthday without my mom. She passed away on October 19, 2023, before I got my license as a Naturopathic Doctor. She has always been by my side, cheering and supporting me. She fought with bravery against leukaemia for 18 months, and she has never lost her joy, optimism and the beautiful smile. Love you forever and ever mom 🌟you were the best gift I could ever had and you knew it!

Thank you all my family and friends for your support during this tough year and for making it so special afterwards.

Here’s to embracing new adventures and continuing to pursue passion and excellence in everything I do.

Acne can arise from a variety of factors, and understanding these can help in managing and preventing breakouts. Here are eight common reasons for acne:

🌿 Hormonal Changes: Fluctuations in hormones, such as during puberty, menstruation, or pregnancy, can increase oil production in the skin, leading to acne.

🌿 Excess Oil Production: Overactive sebaceous glands produce too much sebum (oil), which can clog pores and create an environment where acne-causing bacteria thrive.

🌿 Clogged Pores: Dead skin cells can mix with oil and become trapped in pores, leading to comedones (blackheads and whiteheads) and inflammation.

🌿 Bacteria: The bacterium Propionibacterium acnes (P. acnes) can proliferate in clogged pores, leading to inflammation and acne lesions.

🌿 Diet: Certain foods, such as those high in sugar or dairy, may trigger acne in some people. Dietary triggers can vary from person to person.

🌿 Stress: High levels of stress can increase the production of hormones like cortisol, which can exacerbate acne by increasing oil production and inflammation.

🌿 Medications: Some medications, including certain birth control pills, steroids, and other drugs, can contribute to acne as a side effect.

🌿 Cosmetics and Skincare Products: Products that are comedogenic (pore-clogging) or irritating to the skin can contribute to acne. It’s important to use non-comedogenic and gentle products to minimize breakouts.
